Make an Inter-Library Loan Request

What is Inter-Library Loan?

Inter-Library Loan is a service provided by all Pinnacle libraries that allows you to order materials from other libraries around our state and country. Please contact your home library to learn more about this service.

Find materials outside of Pinnacle Library Cooperative via Inter-Library Loan:

If your search does not turn up the material you are searching for, you may be able to place an Inter-Library Loan request.

To search for items you would like to request via Inter-Library Loan:

1. Return to the search area at the top of the catalog page.

2. Select WorldCat Worldwide Libraries from the Using drop-down menu.

Note:
The default is "All Pinnacle Libraries." You may also need to change the "Limit by" field to "All formats" - this will ensure a broader search.

3. Once you have decided on a specific item to request via Inter-Library Loan, select the Place Hold button to the right of the item record.

4. You will be prompted to type in your library card number, PIN, and to select a pick-up location.

5. You will be contacted by your home library when the material is available for pick-up.

Please note: Due to individual library policies, some materials may not be available to request through Inter-Library Loan. There may also be fees associated with this service. Please contact your home library to learn more about their Inter-Library Loan policy.
